Lycoming County SPCA welcomes new director

The Lycoming County SPCA welcomes Jamie Caputo, of Williamsport, as the director of development.

Prior to joining the SPCA, Caputo worked with Evangelical Community Hospital as the Mobile Medical Unit coordinator, where she started an eight county Mobile Health program. Prior to her time at Evangelical, Caputo worked at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank for 13 years, serving in various positions. Her most recent position with the Food Bank was as the development and community relations manager for the Williamsport office. She is very passionate about their mission and providing for people’s basic needs.

Caputo is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Susquehanna Valley and a 2016 graduate of Leadership Lycoming.

She values the opportunity to continue to hone her leadership skills. She believes that volunteering is important, which is evidenced by her involvement in local organizations and her church.

She has served on the board of directors for Leadership Susquehanna Valley, as well as the New Love Center, a food pantry and soup kitchen in Jersey Shore, and the Penn State Agriculture Extension advisory board for Lycoming County.

Caputo graduated from the University of Valley Forge as a music major. In her “spare time,” she serves as the worship leader at her church, Radiant Light Church, Muncy Creek, and helps with their children’s ministry.

She is married to Bill. Together they are the parents of Zach (Jin). They recently adopted a dog, Nya.
