The Lock Haven Christian Women's Connection will enjoy a "Craft Show" luncheon on Oct. 25 at at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Allison Township. According to a news release, the doors will open for shopping at 10 a,m. with the program beginning at 11:50 a.m.
"There is always good food, lots of fun and music, and gifted speakers that help inform and inspire ladies to make a most memorable day," the news release said.
Feature Chairperson Dora Lea Watson has lined up some popular crafters from our area to fill the vendor area of the church social/multi-purpose room. There will be fabric crafts including quilted items, cards, photos, jewelry, scented soaps and much more.
There is always a musical component at the luncheons and that part of October's program is entitled "My Favorite Things." The special music for October's program will be presented by gifted area soloist Krista Hamilton.
"Designs for Life" is the title for the inspirational speaker, Sue Balsinger, from South Park, near Pittsburgh. Sue is a former interior designer who shares how drafting the wrong plans can affect the final outcome for life.
All area women are invited. The location allows for on-site childcare for young mothers. Nursery reservations must be made at the time that luncheon reservations are made. Mothers are asked to bring a lunch or snack for the child.
