The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society has scheduled the opening of their holiday exhibit, "Stars," in conjunction with their annual ornament sale.
According to a news release, members of the museum will have the opportunity to preview the holiday exhibit and purchase ornaments at a Members' Only Sale from 6 to 7 p.m., Dec. 1. The public is invited to visit Dec. 1 from 7 8:30 p.m.
The ornament sale and a free preview of the exhibit continues from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 2 and from 1 to 4 p.m., Dec. 3.
The exhibit will feature decorative arts that display a star motif. A number of quilts drawn from the permanent collection of the museum will be featured as well as loan items from the local community. The holiday exhibit will continue through Jan. 20, 2024. Except for special occasions, the museum is now closed on Sundays until May 2024.
The artists participating in the ornament sale include: Amanda Emig, Karen Mothersbaugh, Deb Parsons, Theresa Phillips, Victoria Stetts, Mike Swanger, Becky Thomas, Judy Steinhilper and Catheal Weiser.
