Music, arts, performances bring crowds to 9th annual LH Jams festival

LOCK HAVEN -- Although storms earlier in the week called into question the make up of the 9th Annual LH Jams Music and Arts Festival, Mother Nature pulled through and provided the perfect weather for its final act this weekend.
Vendors lined Main Street -- from painters, wood workers, pottery, fiber artists and more -- providing a glimpse into their talent and offering a chance for lucky participants to take a piece of their work home.
Food vendors -- including Straub Brewery and Oregon Hill Winery -- and local restaurants kept busy throughout the day as music flowed throughout downtown Lock Haven. Hundreds of folks turned out, lawn chairs in hand, to enjoy a wide range of music provided by talented artists from right here in Clinton County and beyond.
A total of seven bands played from noon until well into the night on the Main Street Stage and the newly renovated front patio of the Susquehanna Events Center (formerly Lock Haven Elks).
Artists traveled from as far away as New York and Pittsburgh and as close as State College and Lock Haven. These artists brought beautiful music from genres such as jazz, pop, rock, blues and Southern Gothic that got many audience members moving and grooving with their electric energy.
Artists included: The Central Mountain Jazz Cats, FayeM Band, The Sorters, Bonnie and the Mere Mortals, James Supra and the Sarah Ayers Band and Central City Orchesta.
Artwork was showcased in progress with chalk art at the intersection of Main and Vesper Streets and Dani Long Leggs and Mister Leggs provided a touch of carnival magic -- with light up hula hoops and other props in hands often.
All in all, LH Jams proved to be another eventful day filled with music, good food, good drinks and much more.
