The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will host Matthew Carl, speaking on Peter Herdic and the health resort of Minnequa Springs at the Taber Coffee Hour, at 10 a.m., Nov. 14 in its Community Room. The program is free and open to the public.
According to a news release, Herdic was a visionary and a key player in the development of Williamsport. Shortly after the Civil War, his attention was drawn to Bradford County where he would build and open a fabulous hotel and health resort along the Northern Central Railroad. This presentation will feature Matthew Carl, executive director of the Bradford County Historical Society and president of LeRoy Heritage Museum.
