Rotary’s regional district to install local woman as governor

The Williamsport Rotary Club will host the Rotary District 7360 Governor installation ceremony at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 29 at the Williamsport Holiday Inn. The lunch and installation will be followed by dessert at the Little League Museum.

Dawn Linn, Williamsport Rotary member, will be stalled as the new District 7360 governor. The district includes 67 clubs with over 2080 members in parts of Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

According to a news release, Linn has a long history of serving our community and Rotary. She was CEO of the YWCA Northcentral PA from 2017 to January 2025; she spent 14 years as the vice president of planned philanthropy at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania and had a distinguished 15-year, award-winning banking career.

She is a past president of the Williamsport Rotary Club, has been the Area 4 Governor, dedicated advocate for the Junior Rotarian award, and has worked tirelessly for the many projects the Williamsport Rotary Club sponsors.

“Service has always been at the heart of who I am,” Linn said, according to the news release. “Whether organizing local initiatives or building bridges between neighbors, I believe true leadership begins with listening, connecting, and rolling up our sleeves to make a difference. As District Governor, I’m committed to nurturing the spirit of service and deepening the community connections that bring lasting impact to every corner of District 7360. Married to Thomas Linn for 39 years, and proud mother of three adopted grown children, Dawn proves you can balance a stellar career with a life full of adventure and heart.”

The Williamsport Rotary Club meets weekly at noon at the Genetti Hotel.

“New members are welcome to help us with our mission of ‘service above self,'” the news release from the organization said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
