Bradford County Historical Society to host trick-or-treating at museum

The Bradford County Historical Society will host "Halloween at the Jail," scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 30. This event is an opportunity for families to bring children for a safe trick-or-treat experience within the two floors of the museum, formerly the Bradford County Jail, according to a news release.
Throughout both floors of the museum, BCHS board members, staff, and volunteers will be passing out candy to all trick-or-treaters aged 12 and under. All children must be in costume to receive candy and must be accompanied by an adult to participate. The museum exhibits will also be available to browse.
"Take some fun photos in the dungeon cell, behind bars in the old jail, or in the log cabin," the news release said. "See where the last hangings in Bradford County took place. The piano will be playing Halloween songs and the museum will be decorated."
There is no cost to participate and there is free admission to the museum.
Bradford County Historical Society is sponsored in part by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Bradford County Room Tax Fund, the Bradford County Tourism and Promotion Agency, and the United Way of Bradford County.
