Veteran, participant in Montoursville ceremony shares gratitude for organizer

“I want every one of my members of the 82nd division to say that it was an hoor to march with them,” Sgt. Terry Banfill, of the 82nd Airborne Division, who performed Taps at the Montoursville Veteran’s Day ceremony said in an email. “All my members have left us, but they will always be in my thoughts and prayers. They were PFC. Dave Wagner, PFC. Don Hills, and Sgt. Bill Peck. May God always keep you in the palm of His Hands.”

“My team and I would like to thank Mrs. Carol Savoy who from the start of the Veteran’s Day program at Montoursville Cemetery has done an outstanding job organizing the ceremony,” the email continued. “Thank you is not enough but a giant thanks to you Carol for all you have done to make this a memorial veterans’ program. Thanks also go to Savoy Furniture employees with this yearly program.”
