Artist Avary Gunsallus brings her skills to the Pajama Factory
A Clinton County native is making her mark in Lycoming.
Central Mountain High School graduate, Avary Gunsallus is described as a tailor, painter and educator whose work bridges fine art and functional design, according to information released by the Pajama Factory, where she currently has a studio.
“From clothing alterations and custom garments to one-of-a-kind pieces, Avary brings deep craftsmanship to every stitch,” the release on social media said.
She also offers one-on-one sewing lessons in her Pajama Factory studio, helping others gain confidence in making and repairing with their own hands.
When she’s not sewing, she’s painting. Her oil work explores texture, layering, emotion and everyday life — a tactile sensibility that echoes her tailoring practice.
“After four years of honing her skills in New York City’s garment district, Avary is back home and pouring her creativity into the community,” the release said.
You can find her in the studio Monday-Friday after 2:30 p.m. The Pajama Factory is located at 1307 Park Ave., Williamsport.
