Library to host free family fun day
The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will host its annual Sips & Stories Free Family Fun Day, sponsored by the Friends of the James V. Brown Library, on Saturday, May 16, at New Trail Brewing Co.
In preparation for this event, the Library is asking community members and library goers to take a library-themed survey. The answers will be used to create a family face-off game where families will try to guess the most common responses to the questions in the survey. They’re asking 100 library patrons, and you can be one of them.
You’ll definitely want to mark your calendars for this free, family-friendly afternoon of nonstop entertainment. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in crafts, trivia, and book bingo while listening to live music. There will be a caricature artist and photo booth on site to help preserve the memories. You can check the Library’s Facebook page (James V. Brown Library) or Instagram profile (@jvbl1907) for updates.
The James V. Brown Library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. To place a hold, visit www.jvbrown.edu or call 570-326-0536 during the library’s operating hours.
