Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity (GLHFH) recently received a $10,000 donation from M&T Charitable Foundation in support of its Path to Homeownership program that provides access to safe, stable and affordable homeownership for eligible partner family.
The funds will be used to support the new home construction costs at 404 Clark St., South Williamsport. According to a news release, this is the third of four homes being built in South Williamsport as part of a five-year plan to build 11 homes in Williamsport and South Williamsport. Construction is expected to begin this summer with the home completed by spring 2027.
“We are incredibly grateful to M&T Charitable Foundation for their generous support of our Path to Homeownership program,” said Tammy Yonkin, director of operations for GLHFH, according to the news release. “This investment brings us one step closer to providing a local family with an affordable place to call home. Partnerships like this are essential to helping us build stronger communities, and we’re excited to continue this important work together.”
“Each home we build represents more than just construction, it’s an opportunity for a family to build equity, stability and a brighter future,” Yonkin added. “Support from community partners like M&T Charitable Foundation allows us to keep that momentum going and expand our impact for families throughout Lycoming County.”
