Nonprofit contributes to Military Share program
Because of the generosity of local contributors, Lycoming County Hometown Heroes is able to make a much needed donation to local veterans.
According to a news release, in late May the organization presented the Military Share program that is distributed out of the DuBoistown Leroy O Buck VFW Post No 7863 with a check for $10,000 to help continue providing food to local veterans and their families.
“LCHH wants to thank everyone that supports the Hometown Hero Banner program. Every purchase of a Hometown Hero Banner matters and goes to helping local veterans in need,” the news release said.

“Lycoming County Hometown Heroes, Inc. is committed to recognizing the contributions of our veterans who are serving and have served our nation, providing role models for our youth, and to provide assistance to our veterans and their families in need,” the news release said.
