Library to host ‘Boots & Brews’ fundraiser
The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., is hosting Boots & Brews, its second annual western-themed fundraiser, on Thursday, July 23, 2026. The event will feature live music from The Heartstrings Band, mobile axe throwing with the Hatchet House, a cigar bar provided by Pappy’s Cigar Box, and a meet and greet with the iconic Oreo the minihorse! A BBQ buffet dinner is included with each ticket purchase.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter an exclusive prize raffle for two “Shoot for Two” experience packages generously donated by Nationals Range & Armory!
This boot-stomping, rip-roaring good time will support the James V. Brown Library’s Technology Center Project, the Library’s vision for the future. This vital community space will serve every generation in this community by ensuring high-speed internet is available to all: job seekers will be able to find training and resources, library visitors will have the opportunity to connect with loved ones via video calls, and community members will be able to join virtual appointments with their healthcare providers without hassle.
