A new season brings fresh leadership for the Williamsport Civic Chorus.
"We welcome Michael Welch as the new director of our beloved Chorus in its 83rd year," a news release from the chorus said. "A native of Kentucky, Michael brings a rich and varied background as a singer, conductor, and composer and currently directs non-traditional students in choirs across Pennsylvania as the founder of Cadence Music and Arts Programs."
"We look forward to presenting two fabulous concerts this season - Harvest Home, which will celebrate the season and Americana compositions in this, the nation's 250th anniversary year, will be held on November 22nd at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Williamsport," the news release continued. "This concert is part of Victorian Christmas' weekend of 'stars, stripes, and Victorian delights.' Our spring concert, Miniature Masterworks, will feature works by composers both classical and contemporary - works that are short in duration but long on impact! Join us, then - either as a singer or patron, or by sitting in the audience and enjoying the beautiful music.
