Community members want to keep ‘caretaker’ home at Zindel Park

LOCK HAVEN — A brief discussion at a recent Lock Haven City Council meeting about the former caretaker’s home at Zindel Park in McElhattan has led to some public outcry. During its lone February meeting, council heard from City Manager Gregory Wilson regarding the building and recent damage it took. Library continues Plot Twisters writing program

The James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., will continue its Plot Twisters creative writing program in 2025. This program was created to celebrate National Novel Writing Month in November 2024. Now it is offered to adults who are interested in a laid-back atmosphere with other writers. Participants work on journaling, poetry, novels, and more during this program. Over 50 residents brave cold for Wayne Township ice skating party

McELHATTAN — For those who enjoy spending time outdoors in the winter, this season has provided the right elements for ice skating. The cold and wind didn’t deter those who participated in the Winter Ice Skating Party held on Saturday, Jan. 25, at the ice skating rink in Wayne Township.
