Nomad Distilling Co. to give wedding to couple
Did you have to end up postponing or canceling your wedding this year? Look no further — Nomad Distilling Co. is hosting a wedding giveaway package you won’t want to resist.
The package comes with the venue for both the ceremony and reception, florists, photographer and videographer, hair and makeup and DJ from local vendors: Emily Kane Photography, Mint DJ and Salon Magnolias.
Nomad will also be handling all of the food and beverage.
“You are getting handed a wedding,” said Sarah Kudlack, Nomad Distillery Co. owner.
All couples have to do is head over to Nomad’s website and fill out an application describing the couple’s story.
From there, Kudlack said that a team of community members and Distillery employees will narrow applicants down to semi-finalists. The couple’s story will then be posted to the website and shared on social media to be voted on, narrowing it down to finalists and eventually a winner, which will be announced on March 15 on the Nomad Distillery Co. website and social media.
The last day to enter is Friday, Feb. 26, at midnight. This giveaway is for Pennsylvania residents only.
“So far over 30 couples have applied,” Kudlack said. “We want to make sure it is going to a couple that is truly deserving. We thought it would be fun…we want everybody to fee like this is something to be excited about.”
The final couple who wins the prize will have 10 days to claim the prize and pick a date out of a list of available dates from this May to September.
Runner-ups will also be excited to know that Kudlack and Nomad are also working on additional prizes. They have yet to be determined, though Kudlack wants to get prizes for runner-ups that will help take money off of something they would need for their wedding.
The location allows for a complete outside venue with lawn games, patio and porch space in case of COVID restrictions becoming more strict.
“We wanted to give away a wedding and do it for a couple that maybe encountered hardships, due to any circumstances this year,” she said.
This is only the fourth year that Kudlack and her family have owned the property. Before her ownership, the business did weddings, but Kudlack wanted to focus on the products and work on growing her business before diving into weddings.
This year, they were planning on bringing weddings back, but the COVID pandemic hit.
“It was a really sad time. … It really bummed us out,” Kudlack said. “This is a passion project for us…we want people to feel positivity. We thought ‘how can we do something fun’. … We need to lift our spirits a little bit and contribute to the community.”
