Loyalsock Township alumnus to audition for ‘Idol’

The spotlight will shine upon Brennan Hepler on Sunday as he auditions for “American Idol.”

The Loyalsock Township High School graduate and former Montoursville native’s audition is nationally telecast at 8 p.m. by the ABC network.

Hepler performed in his high school’s plays and musicals, and also was featured with the Uptown Music Collective’s productions at the Community Arts Center.

He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2019, where he majored in music business management.

Hepler acknowledges that if the audition is successful, he will move on to the Hollywood week of the competition, which will be telecast beginning on March 14.

Brennan, now known as Beane, not only sings but can accompany himself on both the piano and the guitar.

His style ranges from 50% pop to “50% everything else.”

Hepler now categorizes himself as “an open and authentic songwriter” among his obvious other talents.
