Epoxy resins artist to speak to league

The Bald Eagle Art League invites all art lovers to the group’s May meeting. Concetta Owens will be the featured artist.

All meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are held at the Taber Historical Museum, 858 W. Fourth St. The meeting featuring Owens will be at 7 p.m., May 6.

“I’ve been exploring epoxy resin as an art medium for several years,” Owens said, according to a news release. “I feel that it encompasses my experiences with stained glass, mosaics, decorative finishing and concrete work. Epoxy is a very versatile medium that allows me such an expansive range of expression and enables me to achieve the look and feel of all these forms and more. Epoxy also allows me to incorporate other materials such as sand, concrete, glass, acrylic paint, inks, metal & wood into whatever I’m creating. Whether it’s a piece of jewelry, a wall hanging or a countertop, the possibilities and forms seem nearly endless and I’m very excited to continue exploring this medium.”
