Millbrook Playhouse to offer ‘Grand Legends’
MILL HALL — Millbrook Playhouse’s staff expects “Grand Legends” to be grand entertainment.
Brandon Fillette, who wowed audiences a couple of summers ago as Jerry Lee Lewis in “Miillion Dollar Quartet” is back, playing music from the Grand Ole Opry to the Great White Way.
Featuring the “sparkling talents of Brandon Fillette,” “Grand Legends” will be presented from July 30 to Aug. 7 on the upstairs Main Stage.
Millbrook’s Producing Artistic Director David Leidholdt notes that “Grand Legends” sweeps the audience on an odyssey of Fillette’s favorite recording artists and hitmakers of the 20th century.
“He’ll rockabilly you out of your seats and touch your hearts with power ballads from the 70’s and 80’s and Broadway showstoppers,” said Leidholdt.
Helping Fillette bring the hits from the great crooners of the 60’s to the divas of disco are Millbrook alums Margaret Warrington and Brandy Aguirre (also in “Million Dollar Quartet” cast)
Leidholdt also promises that “Grand Legends” brims over with reminiscence, rocking and rollicking fun.
As a bonus of sorts, with the show’s setlist rotating,” no two productions will ever be the same.
