Next Millbrook show reflects on veterans’ service
MILL HALL — As the old show biz adage goes, “the show must go on!” — but for the Millbrook Playhouse, 258 Country Club Lane, Mill Hall, the 2021 shows will be on a smaller scale.
With the uncertainties of the pandemic keeping the old barn stages dark last summer, Artistic Director David Leidholdt notes that this summer attractions are limited to Millbrook’s upstairs Main Stage.
With emphasis on the on-going safety and health of its patrons, Millbrook’s 2021 “season” looks decidedly different, with the productions running – for the first time ever – from July to December.
Next up is “Yours, Sincerely; A Sentimental Journey,” running July 9 through July 18.
With the cooperation and support of the Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office and area VFWs, Millbrook veteran performer and director Shannon Agnew has penned this Revue, focusing upon the area’s “hometown heroes.”
With the setting of a USO show, this musical tribute features tales of these men and women, mixed in with songs and dances from the 1940s and 50s.
The show, billed as a “heart-warming and toe-tapping musical salute” is directed by David Leidholdt with music direction by Mo Ortbal, choreography by Danny Duff, and set design by Aaron White.
