Buffalo Valley Singers present annual Pops concert Saturday

It’s time to shake off the winter blues and celebrate spring with the Buffalo Valley Singers’ annual Pops concert. Titled “Why We Sing,” the concert holds a special place in the choir’s history, according to a recent press release.

Although BVS began to practice the planned set of music in spring of 2020, the concert was canceled due to the COVID pandemic.

“I view this concert as a celebration of the way in which all of us faced the uncertainty of the last two years with patience and perseverance,” said Connie Pawling-Young, director of BVS.

“Why We Sing” will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1050 Buffalo Road, Lewisburg. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $5, and there is no charge for children under the age of 12.
