Williamsport Music Club presents June program at Faxon-Kenmar UMC
The Williamsport Music Club’s June program will come to life at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Faxon-Kenmar United Methodist Church, 1301 Clayton Ave., when Scott Schell presents “Fill Our Hearts with Music for Children.”
The public is invited to attend free of charge, with a special invitation to little ones.
Schell has many musical interests — teaching, performing and as a piano tuner. He feels he will be most remembered as a songwriter for children. His inspiration comes from special people, funny pets and whimsical characters. Schell also enjoys bringing fun and joy with music to the young at heart.
Tuesday’s program will include original works by the composer including “Dear Juliette,” “Listen to the Birdies” and “Prayer for Clara.” Bobbie Wirth will feature in the “Bassett Hound Medley.”
There will be sing-along opportunities as well.
Schell’s program will close with “Dearest Mr. Moon “ written by Dr. Robert Yasui and Schell.
Song of the month is presented by Kristin Ivers. Kathy Cimini and Shirley Knade are greeters.
Membership in the Williamsport Music Club does not require participation in performances.
The Club is a member of the State and National Federations of Music Clubs.
