Taming of the Brew: Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s 20th and final beer fest to be held Saturday

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s annual Taming of the Brew will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Farm in Bloom, 1051 Fort Mcclure Blvd., Bloomsburg.

The event, although beloved, will be the ensemble’s last, according to a recent press release.

“After 20 years of fun, BTE is looking toward our 45th season with renewed vigor and ultimately decided that it is time to say goodbye to this beloved event,” officials said in the press release. “We hope you’ll come and join us for one last evening of amazing brews and fabulous food from our region’s finest establishments.”

Local musician Kat Holdren will kick off the evening, followed by the return of Low Hanging Fruit, according to the press release.

Some local fan favorite vendors slated to participate are Bullfrog Brewery, New Trail Brewing Company, Rusty Rail Brewing Company and many more. A full list of participating breweries, wineries and restaurants can be found online.

Tickets are $50 for unlimited beer and food, and $30 for designated drivers (everything except the beer and wine). Get tickets online at bte.org/brew/ — they’ll be $65 at the door.
