Bald Eagle Art League’s 66th annual Way’s Garden Art Show to be held June 11

The 66th Annual Way’s Garden Art Show presented by the Bald Eagle Art League and founded by Eve Archer will take place on Sunday, June 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the corner of Maynard and West Fourth streets in Williamsport.

An open “call to artists” continues until the morning of the show for artists to register to exhibit their original art, according to a press release announcing the event.

For the first time this year, the Uptown Music Collective will entertain showgoers from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and continuing with tradition, the Repasz Band, founded in 1831 in Williamsport, will play from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The show will also feature a children’s table, plein air and demonstrating artists.

The Trinity Episcopal Church’s Strawberry Festival will take place simultaneously across the street, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In addition, the Thomas Taber Museum will feature “YesterShoppe” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Backhouse Cafe, on the opposite corner of Maynard and West Fourth streets, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Throughout the day, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite Way’s Garden artist until 2:45 p.m. After the ballots are counted, Williamsport’s Mayor Derek Slaughter will present The Eve Archer Award, around 3 p.m.
