5 Star Wrestling celebrates 13 years with tournament

The partners behind 5 Star Wrestling are excited to present Thirteen, a wrestling tournament to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Pajama Factory.

The aptly named event celebrates 5 Star’s 13 years in the community.

Thirteen will be a performative wrestling tournament with up-and-coming stars Desean Pratt, Sam Adams, Andy Header, Adrian Soriano, Tom Mitchell, Dio Dando, Chris Slade, Alex Divine, Jarett Diaz, Hayden Backlund, DK Vandu, Lynette Dollaz, and Journey Burke. There will also be tag team matches including South Philly’s Finest, Championship Material, Post Game, and The Brothers Gray.

5 Star Wrestling was reimagined in 2010 under “Diamond” Joe Rogers and Tony Hansener. According to the 5 Star website, the owners “decided to create a company where talent would be given a chance to showcase their talent without the hassles of backstage politics.”

They have hosted several tournaments over the last decade in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
