BEAL to host Way’s Garden Art Show next month
According to a press release, the Way’s Garden Art Show will return from 1-4 p.m. on June 9. The event, now in its 67th year, will once again be hosted by the Bald Eagle Art League.
Located at Way’s Garden, on the corner of West Fourth and Maynard streets, the art show will feature an impressive display of artwork from talented local artists. This year’s program includes a special dedication to Frances Tipton Hunter, an illustrator celebrated for her heartwarming mid-20th century illustrations that continue to inspire artists and art enthusiasts.
The press release said that live music by the Repasz Band and the David Pulizzi Duo will provide a delightful backdrop to the artistic displays. Attendees can immerse themselves in creativity while enjoying refreshments and engaging with fellow art enthusiasts.
The highlight of the event will be the presentation of the Eve Archer People’s Choice Award, celebrating outstanding artwork as voted by attendees. This award not only honors artistic talent but also reflects the community’s appreciation for local artistry, the release said.
Simultaneously, Trinity Church will host its annual Strawberry Festival across Fourth Street, complementing the art celebration with delicious treats and family-friendly activities.
“We are thrilled to bring back the Way’s Garden Art Show, celebrating our local artists and paying tribute to the incredible legacy of Frances Tipton Hunter,” said Kelly Spitler, president of the Bald Eagle Art League. “This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the artistic richness of our community and foster connections between artists and art enthusiasts.”
The Way’s Garden Art Show is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to join in celebrating local art and community spirit.
