Weis Center to host outdoor cirque shows — on a food truck!
LEWISBURG — According to a press release, the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University will host an eclectic and quirky contemporary cirque ensemble, Cirque Kikasse, at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Oct. 19.
The performances will take place in the Pascucci Family Athletics Complex Parking Lot, behind the Weis Center, 525 Weis Dr.
The performances are free and tickets are not required, and patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the 45-minute performance, the press release said.
“Cirque Kikasse’s ‘SANTÉ!’ is a dynamic circus show with high-level acrobatics, contagious energy and breathtaking balancing, all on an extraordinary food-cirque truck,” said the press release.
In the show, performers arrange furniture that turns into a tower 30 feet off the ground. They playfully and inefficiently clean the truck and trampoline, and react to an overflowing popcorn machine.
“This fun concept will give thrills to even the most seasoned in the audience,” said the release.
