A local man has written a movie, which he has started filming and for which he is meeting with a number of production companies.

Samuel O. Campbell says he hopes to film the project here in Williamsport.

Titled “Steadfast,” Campbell describes the project as “a gripping thriller inspired by the true events” and based on a novel also written by Campbell.

“We follow the life of Samuel, a boy marked by divine purpose from birth,” a synopsis of the plot provided by Campbell said. “As he navigates a turbulent childhood filled with neglect and abuse from his mother, he discovers his unique connection to God, which manifests in extraordinary visions of the future and prophetic dreams. Despite facing relentless skepticism from those around him, including his own family, Samuel remains steadfast in his belief that he is chosen to deliver a vital message to mankind. As Samuel grows into adulthood, he grapples with increasing violence and hostility from those threatened by his revelations, leading to life-threatening confrontations that test his faith and resilience.”
