Tumbleweed Trio to perform at the Taber Museum

According to a press release, The Tumbleweed Trio will appear at 2 p.m. March 30 in the Community Room at the Taber Museum, 858 West Fourth Street. The Trio will perform America’s cowboy songs, from the 1800s Old West to the 20th Century’s golden age of cowboy movie heroes.

The performance is free and open to the public. For this special Taber Museum program, they will also tell some of the “stories behind the songs,” the press release said.

The Trio is composed of Gary “Doc” Stoner, Richard Rupert and “Miss Alison” Rupert. The three are best friends and bandmates from The MidLife Cowboys Band and The Alison Wonderband. As the Tumbleweed Trio, they sing and play cowboy classics such as “Back in the Saddle Again,” “Don’t Fence Me In” and “Red River Valley” — with guitars, fiddle, authentic three-part vocal harmony and even a bit of yodeling.
