LEWISBURG -- Showcasing the work of more than 100 artists along six full blocks of Lewisburg's main thoroughfare, this year's Lewisburg Arts Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 26, according to a press release from the Lewisburg Arts Council. The event will be held rain or shine.
Attendees can plan to spend the entire day enjoying everything they love most about the festival, like exploring a wide array of fine arts and handcrafted wares, sampling delicious food, participating in interactive activities at Community Commons, or catching one of eight free performances across two entertainment venues.
The press release said over half of last year's vendors are returning to the festival, and many new talented artists will be there as well.
"With work offered in a dozen different media -- ranging from ceramics to jewelry, and from metal to wood -- you're sure to find something unique, whether you're shopping for a gift or just treating yourself," said the press release. "Our advice? If you see something you love, buy it! While you're deliberating, someone else might decide it's coming home with them."
This year's Featured Artist, local potter Selinda Kennedy, will be at booth No. 320. Attendees can stop by her stand to learn the story behind the spring-green parrot with the sly side-eye that was selected as this year's festival image. Kennedy's "parrot platter," along with other one-of-a-kind pieces, will also be on display from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Gallery, 15 North Water Street.
With more than 40 food and beverage vendors, including many favorites from previous years, attendees won't leave hungry. Interspersed among the artist booths on Market Street will be artisanal food vendors offering take-home treats -- everything from smoked cheeses to beautifully hand-decorated cookies. There will even be something for your favorite four-legged friends.
Families can look forward to visiting Community Commons on South 6th Street, where they'll find the ever-popular petting zoo from Ashburn's Animals, as well as balloon twisters from Air Weaver Balloons. Nearly two dozen local nonprofit organizations will also be there, many offering free hands-on activities for all ages.
New this year will be the Handmade Parade Maker Tent, located at the entrance to the Hufnagle parking lot. Choose a square of cloth and turn it into a mini work of art -- it'll be incorporated into parade flags for the next Lewisburg Handmade Parade, scheduled for the 2026 Ice Festival.

The festival preview features images of each artist's work, along with an entertainment schedule, food vendor listings (including notes for special dietary options), and other helpful information to map out your day.
Printed festival maps with a complete list of artists, food and beverage vendors, activities, and entertainment will be distributed to downtown locations during festival week and available throughout the event.
To avoid the hassle of downtown parking, attendees are encouraged to use the free shuttle from 81 Hafer Road (the former Country Cupboard lot). "Express" shuttles will run continuously from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., dropping you off right at the festival and returning you to your car at the end of the day. An accessible shuttle will loop among five downtown stops, including one at the Featured Artist Exhibition. Accessible parking is also available in the lot on South Third Street behind the Post Office, with shuttle access from there as well. You're also welcome to ride your bike and park it at one of the many bike racks located throughout the Festival.
