Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs to host juried show at Taber

The Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs will host the opening night reception for their “2026 Juried Photography Show” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society in Williamsport, a press release said. The public is invited to come and vote for their favorite photographs while enjoying wine, cheese and refreshments prepared by the members of the photography group.

This exhibition encourages the members’ creativity by portraying a wide diversity of skills and talent; all work is original by the members. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges with recognized expertise in photography and fine art. They will critique the show and award a Best of Show ribbon as well as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention ribbons; and there will be monetary awards given with each ribbon placement which will be presented during the reception.

In addition to the cash awards, attendees at the opening are given the opportunity to cast five votes for their favorite pieces. People’s Choice ribbons will be awarded as a result of those votes. All winners will be announced on the same night.

The Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs are comprised of both amateur and professional photographers of diverse talent and backgrounds. Their work will be on display from June 5 until July 25. The organization meets on the fourth Monday of every month at the Thomas Taber Museum. All meetings are open to the public and start at 6:30 p.m.
