Comedian plans return to Billtown

Rodney Carrington will return to the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport on Oct. 29. Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades. After a long hiatus without practice or concerts in the shadow of COVID-19, Williamsport’s Repasz Band is set to resume both rehearsals and performances, with a free concert scheduled at the Brandon Park bandshell at 7 p.m. Sunday. Kevin Connelly, executive director, has announced that the Deane Center for the Performing Arts, 104 Main St., Wellsboro and the Wellsboro Community Concert Association are hosting a series of free, live outdoor concerts on Fridays in July, August and into September on the Deane Center’s outdoor stage on the Central Avenue side of the building.
