A home-run wedding at Little League
William “Bill” L. Christopher and Michelle L. Haag, of Lewisberry, were united in marriage on June 13, 2020. The couple was married by Rev. Thomas C. Jones at the Original Little League Field, Carl E. Stotz Field, in Williamsport. A wedding rehearsal took place on June 12 at 3 p.m.
Michelle’s grandfather, Bertram Haag, was one of the original founding fathers and organizers of Little League baseball. He is honored with a plaque on the complex and his grandson-in-law, Jim McKinney, served as president and has been involved with Little League for many years.
Michelle is the daughter of James and Donna (Blair) Haag, of Williamsport. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School and attended Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania. She is employed as a corporate accountant with Rowman and Littlefield Publish Group, Inc., in Blue Ridge Summit.
Bill, of Carlisle, is the son Raymond Christopher, of Carlisle, and Mary Ellen Christopher. He graduated from Carlisle High School, received a degree from Mansfield University and Pittsburgh Institute of mortuary science. He is employed as a funeral director and preneed sales with Golden Considerations, York.
The soloist and keyboardist were Erika and Austin Haag.
