South Williamsporter married in Michigan
Ellen Margaret Abbey and Nathan Robert Bohlander were united in marriage on Sept. 19, at the Hotel Iroquois on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The couple’s brother-in-law, Major Dennis Keller Jr., USMC, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jim Abbey of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Cynthia Goodrick of Traverse City, Michigan; and the stepdaughter of Michael Wiesen of Empire, Michigan, now residing in Waldo, Florida. She is the stepdaughter of Sheryl Abbey of Monrovia, California, residing in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband Jim. She is the granddaughter of Lee Abbey and the late Arletta Abbey, both of Traverse City, Michigan; and Virgil Goodrick and the late Virginia Goodrick, also both of Traverse City, Michigan.
The groom is the son of Dr. Robert Bohlander of Drums, Pennsylvania, and Yvonne Bohlander of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, both residing in Dallas, Pennsylvania. He is the stepson of Diane Haberkern of Owensboro, Kentucky, who now resides in Dallas, Pennsylvania, with her husband Robert. He is the grandson of the late William and Luella Bohlander of Drums, Pennsylvania, and the late Michael and Julia Stefanick of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The flower girl was Emma Keller, niece of the bride and groom. The ringbearer was Bella Bohlander, canine “daughter” of the groom and adopted canine “daughter” of the bride. Also in attendance were close family members.
If the wedding was not held in the midst of a global pandemic, the maid of honor would have been the bride’s sister, Danielle Keller. Bridesmaids chosen for the occasion included Aubrey Tressito, Sheila Sanguina, Alex Pick, Stevie Wydra and Olivia Clulow.
Likewise, the officiant would have been Mehul Patel. David D’Orlando was chosen as best man. Those chosen as groomsmen were Matthew Charles, William Brannan, Sahil Patel, Keith Singh and Evan Visone.
The bride is a graduate of Oak Hall School in Gainesville, Florida. She attended the University of Florida where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She also earned a master’s degree in global fashion enterprise from Thomas Jefferson University. Elle is currently the orthopedics product manager for Essity Corp. in Philadelphia.
The groom is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary Upper School in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He attended Dickinson College, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in law and policy. He also earned a J.D. from Penn State School of Law. Nate is currently an attorney with the firm Morgan & Akins in Philadelphia.
The couple plans to relocate from Philadelphia to Dallas, Pennsylvania, in the near future.
