John Neubauer, of 149 Halltown Road, Fairfield Township, has announced his intention to seek nomination as the Region 2 representative on the Montoursville Area School Board. Region 2 consists of Fairfield and Upper Fairfield townships.
A registered Republican, he plans to crossfile and seek both the Democratic and Republican nominations.
Neubauer is a 1989 graduate of Williamsport Area High School.
He attended Pennsylvania College of Technology before entering the transportation and distribution industry.
He has been a driver for Fedex freight for 15 years.
He and his wife, Shelly, a lifelong Montoursville native, have two children.
David W. Shirn
David W. Shirn, of Old Lycoming Township, has announced his intention to seek the Republican nomation for township supervisor in the May 16 primary election.
He is a life member and past chief of 27 years of the Old Lycoming Volunteer Fire Co.
Shirn was instrumental in establishing the alliance of the township fire department and the Williamsport Bureau of Fire in 1999.
He is the president of a family business that has operated in the township for 58 years and the owner of the trucking firm Lock-cuff Inc.
Michael Detweiler
Michael Detweiler, of 85 Seventh St., Mansfield, has announced his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for mayor of Mansfield in the May 16 primary election.
He has lived in Mansfield full-time since 2008.
He is a bartender at Yorkholo Brewing Co.
He attended Goshen College, in Goshen, Indiana, with a concentration in communications and sociology, and has a degree as a certified respiratory therapy technician from Gwynedd Mercy College.
Adrianne Leigh McEvoy
Adrianne Leigh McEvoy, of Mansfield, has announced her intention to seek the Democratic nomination for Mansfield Borough Council in the May 16 primary election.
McEvoy has been an associate professor of philosophy at Mansfield University since 2003.
She is a graduate of Brighton High School in Rochester, New York, and received bachelor's, masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Buffalo, in Buffalo, New York. She also holds a bachelor's in science from Mansfield University.
McEvoy has done fundraising work for HAVEN and Animal Care Sanctuary, of Wellsboro.
She attends services at New Life Church, Canton.
She and her husband, Jason White, have two children, Conor and Brighid Jean.

Steve McCloskey
Steve McCloskey, of 136 Decker St., Mansfield, has announced his intention to seek the Democratic nomination for Mansfield Borough Council in the May 16 primary election.
He recently retired as the director of athletic operations and information at Mansfield University after 28 years.
He is a 1991 graduate of Mansfield University.
McCloskey is a member of the board of directors of the Mansfield Area United Fund and an original member of the Mansfield Fabulous 1890s Weekend.
He was inducted into the College Sports Information Directors of America Hall of Fame in 2016 and was named the Mansfield University Employee of the Year in 2009.
Mansfield University athletics recently established the Steve McCloskey Service Award in his honor, which will be given annually to a Mansfield University student who embodies the Mansfield University spirit and provides exemplary service to the athletic department.
He and his wife, Pam, have two children.
