Aaron Hannah, 36, of 672 Wildwood Blvd., has been charged by the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) with delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy for allegedly selling .54 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover officer in the 500 block of Memorial Avenue in the city on June 10. He was released on $35,000 bail.
Hannah also faces charges for allegedly setting up a fentanyl sale with a county detective only to back out and keep the money and drugs for himself, according to the detective.
The detective picked Hannah up at Hepburn Plaza and gave him $200.
"We are going to make money together," Hannah allegedly said.
"Don't burn me," the detective said.
Subsequently, Hannah allegedly left the vehicle, walked toward Elmira Street and blocked the detective's phone number.
Months later, the detective met with Hannah at District Judge Christian Frey's office, where Hannah allegedly admitted to stealing the $200 and said he was going to sell the detective fentanyl.
District Judge Christian Frey arraigned Hannah for delivery of a controlled substance, theft by deception and criminal use of a communication facility.
In another case, Shalamar Kenyatta Brown, 55, of 565 Memorial Ave., Apt. 403, allegedly sold $80 of crack cocaine to a confidential informant at his apartment Sept. 21.
District Judge Aaron Biichle arraigned Brown for delivery of a controlled substance. Unable to post the $75,000 bail, Brown will remain in the Lycoming County Prison.
In another case before Frey, a state trooper allegedly discovered the smell of marijuana emitting from the car of William Beyhl, 26, of 267 W. Eighth St., Deer Park, New York, June 26 of 2021.
Trooper Robert Jacobs said Beyhl also had bloodshot and glassy eyes, and voluntarily surrendered marijuana. Frey arraigned Beyhl for distributing a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
