JERSEY SHORE -- Still recovering in a wheelchair from his injuries, Adam Butler identified on Thursday in a courtroom Nigel A. Lee as the man who allegedly shot him outside Mark Baskin's mobile home at 94 Vilas Drive on Feb. 4.
Butler told District Judge Denise Dieter that a bullet was still in his back, near his spine.
Following a hearing that lasted more than an hour, Dieter ruled there was sufficient evidence to hold Lee, 38, of Mill Hall, on state police charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, illegal possession of firearm and possession of an instrument of crime.
Butler was shot about 1:20 p.m. as he and Baskin were trying to help Lee get into his vehicle after Lee reportedly locked his keys inside his Dodge Charger, according to court records.
In court, Butler testified what happened and the extent of his injuries.
Baskin, who also took the stand, testified that he was standing next to Butler, when Lee started allegedly firing a handgun.
It was unclear what was the motive behind the shooting. A state trooper also testified at the hearing, which was held at the Lycoming County Courthouse for security purposes. Lee remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison on no bail.
