Rehab center cares for all walks of life

For 29 years, Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center has been in operation, situated in Montoursville at 2140 Warrensville Road. And for those 29 years, Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center has provided individuals great care in a number of different ways.

Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center offers skilled nursing care, short-term rehab, memory care, respite services and also independent living apartments according to Rhonda Bates, executive assistant at the facility.

“Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center is an overall three-star facility with a five-star in quality measures,” Bates said. Quality measures are designated by the Centers for Medicaire and Medicaid Services.

Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center is managed by a board of directors of Lycoming Community Care, Inc., a not-for-profit organization.

One thing people may not know about Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center is that it is also a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat.

“Valley View provides food, water, cover and places for wildlife to raise their young,” Bates said.

According to the organization’s website, the Valley View staff is “a group of caring individuals whose familiarity with the residents enables them to participate in each individually developed plan of care. Continuing education enhances our ability to provide the utmost in all areas of care.”
