When city police arrived in the 300 block of Market Street to investigate a report of a fight about 1:45 a.m. on June 26, they were met by a bouncer from a tavern "with a swollen and bloody lip," according to an affidavit.
It is alleged that Brittany Danielle Selleck, 31, of Shamokin Dam, assaulted the bouncer outside the establishment where he worked, police said. "Selleck was attempting to get into the tavern after it was closed. When she was denied entry, she began screaming racial slurs at the bouncer and large group of people," the court document stated.
"The group of people began surrounding Selleck as she continued her aggressive behavior. When the bouncer attempted to get Selleck away from the group, she suddenly began punching him in the face," the affidavit stated. The entire assault was caught on a surveillance camera, and the video matched just what the bouncer told officers, police said.
Arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, Selleck is free on $5,000 bail.
