Marcus Drake McDaniel, 35, and Michelle Strayer, 33, both of 36 S. Main St., apartment 3, Muncy, have been jailed on charges related to sexually abusing a female minor in the borough at various times during March, a county detective alleged in court papers.
McDaniel faces charges of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of criminal attempt, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corrupting the morals of a minor.
Strayer has been charged with intimidation or obstruction in child abuse cases, sexual exploitation of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, endangering the welfare of a child, corrupting the morals of a minor and criminal conspiracy. "Through her lack of care, she allowed the child to be raped by McDaniel as well as have other (inappropriate) sexual contact with him," investigators alleged in a criminal complaint.
Following their arraignments before District Judge Allen P. Page III, both McDaniel and Strayer were jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail each.
