Demetri Carroll, 27, of Philadelphia, has been locked up on charges of threatening to shoot another man if he did not give him $2,000 in the 2100 block of West Third Street about 8:15 p.m. on March 22, city police alleged in an affidavit.
Carroll met the victim, Dakota Taylor, at the back of a home after texting him, police said. Carroll took Taylor's cellphone by force from his hand and told him he would "shoot him in the face" if he didn't give him $2,000, police alleged. Carroll then told the man that "if you call police, it will be trouble," the affidavit stated. Carroll then fled on foot, police said. Taken into custody the next day, he was arraigned before Frey on charges of felony robbery, terroristic threats, simple assault and theft. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
