Artificial flowers mark the spot where Michael Gair, 21, of Jersey Shore, was killed when the car he was driving crashed into a stone wall at Railroad and Short streets in Porter Township about 12:45 a.m. on April 9, Tiadaghton Valley Regional police said. Gair was heading west on Railroad Street at a high rate of speed when his car plowed into the wall, police said Monday. Jerold Ross, the county's chief deputy coroner, said Monday the impact pushed the car's motor into the front passenger section. Ross pronounced Gair dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
