Dalton Laubenstein, 23, of 79 School House Lane, Waterville, has been charged with four misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering for firing five rounds from a handgun in the direction of three people who were fishing as he was riding in a pickup truck in the 8000 block of Little Pine Creek Road in Pine Township about 2 p.m. on March 19, state police alleged in an affidavit.
Police allege Laubenstein fired the shots moments after he left 8212 Little Pine Creek, where he and his ex-girlfriend had been arguing in the front yard. "Laubenstein admitted he was trying to to hit a road sign that was southwest of where he (fired the shots)," a trooper said in the court document. A male juvenile was driving the truck, and police allege Laubenstein furnished him with two to three beers, the affidavit stated. Facing additional charges of corrupting the morals of a minor, endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct, Laubenstein has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Denise Dieter.
