"Rain was coming down like a monsoon" on Monday afternoon when a gust of wind uprooted this large tree which landed on an apartment building at 434 Center St., according to Desmond Vinson, who was standing near the tree when it fell. "The tree started rocking back and forth, and then it fell softly," Vinson said. City firefighters responded at 12:30 p.m. There was no reported damage to the building.
