Union County woman allegedly fabricated COVID vaccination card

A Union County woman allegedly possessed a fake COVID-19 vaccination report card, according to the U.S. Attorney office in court documents in the U.S. Middle District Court in Williamsport.
Amy B. Leister on or about May 17 allegedly illegally made a print and impression in the likeness of an identification card and insignia prescribed by the head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control, according to information presented by U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus.
The charge is possessing/making unauthorized identification card and insignia.
Leister allegedly did so without authorization under regulations made pursuant to law.
Assistant U.S. Attorney George J. Rocktashel has been assigned the case.
The maximum penalty for that offense is imprisonment for a period of six months, a fine of $5,000, and a maximum term of supervised release of one year.
The court documents indicated Leister intended to plead guilty to the offense.
