Mother, daughter accused in $1.2 million Milton credit union fraud case

A New Columbia mother and her daughter have been accused of taking up to $1.2 million from a Milton credit union where each had been employed.

Mindy L. Plasters, 68, and Brittany Aikey, 33, were released following their arraignments in U.S. Middle District Court, stated Penn Live and court documents.

The indictment alleges while working at Nu Community Credit Union between 2009 and 2017 hey applied for loans using names of credit union members; used identities without their knowledge; falsified financial information; obtained proceeds from loans; obtained cash advances and used members’ credit accounts.

They also are accused of not repaying the loans or cash advances.
