Homeless man charged with felony shoplifting

Luke Lucovich, 28, who was reported homeless, has been jailed on a felony shoplifting charge for allegedly stealing $453 worth of merchandise from TJ Maxx, 1734 E. Third St., on Aug. 6, according to state police. This was his third shoplifting arrest, police said. He also had a small amount of marijuana on him, police alleged. Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman on the shoplifting offense plus receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, he was incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail.
