Already locked up on drug charges and other offenses, Joshua Serrano, 33, of 715 Elmira St., now faces two additional counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for selling drugs to an undercover officer with the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU), investigators alleged in an affidavit. One sale involved .45 grams of crack cocaine on May 17 and the other sale took place two days later when he sold 1.65 grams of crack cocaine and 10 percocet pills, investigators alleged.
The alleged sales occurred near Elmira and Louisa streets. Following his arraignment on these additional charges, Serrano was jailed in lieu of bail.
In a second case, another drug charge has been lodged against county Prison inmate Kaseem Bradshaw, according to court records filed by the county's NEU at the office of District Judge Aaron Biichle.
One additional charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance has been filed against Bradshaw, 21, that stems from law enforcement seizing methamphetamines from his home at 813 Elmira St. when they executed a search warrant there on June 30.
"The methamphetamines were separated in 13 individually-knotted plastic bags," investigators said.
The search warrant was executed after Bradshaw allegedly was involved in three recent drug sales, court records stated. Following his arraignment on this new charge, Bradshaw was recommitted in lieu of additional bail.
In another case, Jose Alvarez-Mendez, 64, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for having a bag of heroin with him on Route 15 in South Williamsport on May 5, borough police alleged in affidavit. Arraigned before District Judge Gary Whiteman, he is free on $5,000 bail.
In another case, a bench warrant also was expected to be filed for Chad Stover, 41, of 805 Allegheny St., after he failed to appear for a hearing on Tiadaghton Valley Regional police charge of possession of a suboxone pill and driving with a suspended license stemming from an incident in the 400 block of Railroad Street in Jersey Shore on March 6.
