On Sept. 20, Robert Seese, 36, of 339 Smith St., Jersey Shore, was served a protection from abuse order filed in Clinton County, Tiadaghton Valley Regional police said. The order stipulated that he was to surrender all firearms and ammunition within 24 hours.
However, when police executed a search warrant at his home eight days later, they discovered and seized numerous boxes and bags of bullets from the man's bedroom or garage, court records stated.
Seese was automatically placed in the Clinton County Prison on a state parole violation.
He has since been charged with illegal possession of firearms or ammunition, a misdemeanor, for violating the terms of the protection order, police said.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, he was recommitted in lieu of $25,000 bail.
