A man who lives near Unityville, where a triple homicide shooting occurred earlier last month, has been accused of threatening to be another mass shooter.
Nathan Allen Minier, 43, of Unityville, is jailed in lieu of $260,000 bail awaiting preliminary hearings Friday on two sets of charges, PennLive.com reported.
In one of them, he is accused of threatening to blow up his ex-wife's home on Nov. 16, threatening his sister and making comments about being the next Brian Taylor.
Taylor was identified by investigators as the individual who fatally shot his wife, Linda, 60; his sister, Andrea J. Meek, 52; and Jerry Zehring, 55, on Nov. 5. Zehring, who lived in Lebanon, was in the area hunting deer.
Minier is charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize in the first case.
The other set of charges accuse him on Nov. 18 of driving through a farm field and past a residence on Homebase Lane and another on Hall Road honking the vehicle's horn and firing a shotgun out the window, according to PennLive.
Police said they observed tire marks in the field, and a spent shotgun shell was recovered in front of the Homebase Lane residence.
A vehicle registered to Minier matching the description of that provided by the Homebase Lane resident was stopped Nov. 19 on Route 118, they said.
After being taken into custody, he admitted driving through the field and on roads while honking the horn and throwing out garbage that included an empty box of shotgun shells in Benton, the arrest affidavit states.
Two unfired shotgun shells were found during the execution of a search warrant on his vehicle, the document states.
Records show he has two active protection-from-abuse orders against him, and he had been ordered to relinquish his firearms, police said.
In the Nov. 18 case, Minier is charged with failing to relinquish his firearms as required, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime, disorderly conduct and harassment, PennLive stated.
